FAQ's

In which areas do you provide children’s party entertainment? We work within all parts of Greater London, the home counties and the South. If you have a party which is further afield, please call us – we may be able to do this depending on entertainer availability.

How much do Utopia Parties cost? This is dependent on the location of the party, the number of children attending and the length of party required – please call Emma (07713 164038) or Anna (07710 841507) for a quote.

Will I need to book more than one entertainer? Utopia entertainers are very experienced in dealing with large groups of children and keeping them thoroughly entertained! However if you are expecting more than 35 children at your party, then we recommend that you book a second entertainer, to ensure that all the children are supervised at all times, as a safe environment is paramount.

How long is a Utopia party? Generally our parties last for 2 hours. The structure of a Utopia party is an hour of non-stop entertainment, after which the children break for some food and the birthday cake. This gives your entertainer the opportunity to create a balloon model for each child to take home with them, while they are occupied with the food. After food and cake, your entertainer then continues with the fun for the rest of the 2 hour party. For children younger than 4 years, we recommend a 1 hour party is booked. For older children and larger groups, we can extend the party if a longer time is required.

How far in advance should I book? We do get very busy especially at weekends, so in order to avoid disappointment, we recommend that you book your entertainer with as much notice as possible.

Should I hire a hall for the party? This is entirely up to you, we are able to hold parties either in halls or at home. We recommend however that you consider whether the amount of space available at home is sufficient for all of your guests, especially when they will be dancing and jumping around!! Arts n crafts parties do usually involve some amount of mess so its also a good idea to consider whether you would want that type of party in your home.

Will I need to pay a deposit? Yes, we do charge a deposit in order to secure your booking.

Will my entertainer need to have a parking space by the venue? Yes, our entertainers bring boxes of fun with them!, so they will need to park nearby in order to unload equipment. Meter parking is fine, as long as the maximum parking time is at least 3 hours.

Will I be able to speak to my entertainer before the party? Yes, your entertainer will call you at the start of the week leading up to your party. She will check the running order of the party with you, and answer any questions you may have. Of course, please feel free to call Emma or Anna at any time as well.

Do I need to provide anything for my entertainer? Our entertainers just need a table, ideally positioned by a plug socket.

What is the best time for the children to eat? Our parties are structured so that the children eat after the first hour of the party. By this time they are usually worn out from the non-stop fun and games, so its a great opportunity for them to re-charge before enjoying the rest of the party. This also gives your entertainer a chance to create balloon models for every child.

Do you supply party bags? Yes we do supply party bags as an optional extra. These are £3 per bag, and include 6 novelty items and a couple of sweets. Bags are themed to the party, and examples of the novelty items include: Girls – bubbles, fluffy pen, princess ring, mini-notepad, lip gloss, magic wand, tiara, hair band set. And for boys – bubbles, aeroplane set, toy car, pirate eye-patch, pirate bandana, bouncing super ball. All bags are beautifully presented and wrapped in clear cellophane with ribbons.

Do you supply treats for mums? Yes, mums deserve parties too, and at Utopia we are able to bring a masseuse or beautician to you, who can supply head and shoulder massages, manicures and mini-facials.

What age are Utopia entertainers? Our entertainers are all female and are aged between late twenties to early thirties.
